Cannot edit my response factors ??

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I was asked to recalibrate the D7504 method from some other lab for all aromatic components. For some reason, I cannot edit these response factors attached. This is a single point calibration by method.

Not sure how to add a pic here Image
If this is chemstation you are using... You can only edit the concentration and the response for the compound and the internal standards. Response factors are calculated from those 4 numbers but cannot be edited.
Thank you for your response. Yes. I'm using the chemstation and I understand usualy response factors are calculated from the concentration and the peak area but I'm able to change those response factors on our GC but not the one from the other lab for some reason. Both of them have the same version of chemstation B.04.03. ASTM D7504 does give you the response factors to go by and I'm just trying to input those numbers.
Perhaps you are confusing instrument response with the calculated response factors in a calibration. I have versions A. D. and E. and they all have instrument concentration and response tables that can be edited (but should not be unless you have expert reasons) but not the calculated response factors.

Good luck!
visa,

Are you a "sufficiently regarded" user on both computers? That is, a high enough level user that you can edit response factors on the one computer?

Best regards,

AICMM
yes sir. I got the admin rights on these computers. By the way I found the way to edit those response factors. if you go calibration settings and select manual, it will let you change them to whatever the method specifies.
