Hello. I am operating an ICS-3000 with the latest version of Chromeleon software (ver. 7.2). All modules connect and communicate fine with the software. However, I have a DIONEX AS40 autosampler that is connected to the pump via a serial port. I can't get the sampler to sync with the method, or there is a relay signal that I am missing, but not seeing anywhere in the method builder of Chromeleon. I can get a sequence to run, but the sampler does nothing and there is no injection of the sample. We had this unit donated to us, when I contacted Thermo to ask if all modules (I gave serial numbers of all of them) would be compatible with the new version of software they told yes.

I have tried to add a sampler through the operation manager setup I can't seem to get it out of simulation mode, to make any changes. I have tried to add a external connection option to set the relay specific, that didn't seem to do anything either.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you
Modules should all be connected via USB, if memory serves. Does your AS40 have a USB port available?
Thanks,
DR

Hi there,
We have an As40 connected to an ICS-2000
For the ICS2000, the AS40 is not connected using USB or serial but using wires connected to a relay on the back of the ICS2000. There are instructions how to do this in the installation manual for the ICS2000. In the operations manual for the ICS2000, there are instructions how to trigger the AS40 to inject using chromeleon.

I am not sure if this applies to the ICS3000 as well but you should be able to check.
