Can anyone point me to resources/guides on how to install a standard front inlet on an Agilent 6890 GC? I've googled, but nothing appropriate comes up. I haven't had good experiences with asking Agilent directly, they usually simply suggest I purchase a service contract.
The best you're probably going to be able to do is the 6890 service manual.

Rather than the service contract you could perhaps purchase a 1-time visit for the installation. They would order all of the parts for it - if they are available.

With my 6890's I'm running into the fact that lots of parts aren't available anymore. it's been "antiquated" (by Agilent) for a while now. If I need a turbo pump for my 5973's, I think I'm pretty much out of luck.

Heck, even the 7890's are now "end-of-life" by Agilent, and we have a lab full of them. Fortunately most parts are still available, but some of our GCs have over 250,000 injections on them, so we're being to pre-emptively replace some parts. We do have a currently low-use 6890, and fortunately there are enough of those out and about, you can find many key parts on E-Bay.

If that happens, talk to https://www.provac.com/. They sell and refurbish turbos and are easy to work with.
