Hello All,

I am running an application with a SEDEX75 Evaporative Light Scattering Detector and have a query regarding sensitivity.

I am trying to increase the sensitivity of the system by adjusting the GAIN but i have little knowledge of what the gain is/does. Would i need to increase or decrease the gain? any explanation would be usefull

Many Thanks

Steve

You need to increase it, and for Sedex 75 the optimum is generally between 8 and 10 (but it will depend on the background of your mobile phase).

Increase temperature a little bit will increase sensitive too.
of course your sample should be non-vol.
