Hello,
I wanna make an injection in a GC in headspace modality using an autosampler. I found some methods that use iso-octane as standard. I use 20ml vial and I have to make 500ul injection.
In these methods is written that the standard volume (10ul) has to be added to the vial using microcaps. Usually do you use them? How they work?
I wanna also know what is the vial depth that I have to set?

Thanks

Regards

Personally, I've used the syringe to add the standard into the vial (before the capping, not through the septum!). After some (OK, a lot) practice, you're able to add even 0.1 uL (though, avoid it if you can)!
