Hi was wondering if anyone can tell me if this a good price?
60k USD for agilent 1200 quad pump with VWD, autosampler n chemstation.

Where did you get that quote - from Agilent, or from a third-party instrument refurbisher? Does it include a warranty?

Good point Peter- I took it as a quote to buy, not sell, but it could be either. And in either case, my first inclination is to say no, that's not a good price (unless it's new from Agilent with a warranty - but then I don't know why they wouldn't have quoted a full system, which would include the degasser and column compartment). Comps can be gained from checking LabX or eBay for similar items from a refurbisher/reseller, and then the poster can determine if the quote is good for them, or if they're setting the appropriate price.

Personally, I've gotten a couple 1100's off auction for between 14-20k, and those were full systems (column compartment, detector, autosampler, pump, and degasser - but no Chemstation).
