Sulfuric acid in mobile phase with ELSD?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Hello,

Can one use very diluted sulfuric acid solution with ELSD?

ELSD can not be used with mobile phase modifiers that are not volatile at the temperature selected for operation. Some modifiers are volatile and can be used. These include but are not limited to acetic acid, trifluoroacetic acid (TFA), formic acid, triethylamine, and ammonia. For the best sensitivity, the concentration of buffer in the mobile phase should be as low as possible and of the highest quality.

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
