I want to buy a used ELSD detector to use with my agilent LC1260.
I will use it to detect diacylglycerol.
My options are:
-Alltech 800
-alltech 2000
-Varian 380

any recommendation?
Why are these your only options?

I recommend looking into if/how a non-Agilent detector will fit into your data system before limiting your options.
Thanks,
DR

Agilent makes/sells ELSD detector that are controlled directly by your Chemstation.

I believe those others will require an A/D converter box.
I have just installed a PL-2100 to an Agilent 1100 via a 35900E, worked great.
hello LCbob
can you tell me how you manage to connect your PL-2100 to your 35900 A/D
with RS-232 ?
with A/D output ?
do you have full control of your Pl-2100 in chemstation ?
many thanks for your help

I've got available for sale - cheap - an Alltech 2000 ELSD. We used this like twice a year, nothing wrong with it. Why are we willing to sell? The boss bought Agilent's latest and greatest ELSD, as it would connect directly to the OpenLab system and didn't need to use the 35900E A/D converter box through which it formerly communicated. So that's why it would be available for peanuts.

Unfortunately, I did make use of the 35900E converter, it's now on a 1050 system with a conductivity detector. So that's not available.
