dear friends

I have a few more basic questions:

On HPLCs attached to PDAs

a) It's clear that pump rate can affect retention time, Q: Can mobile phase composition?

b) Why do some analytes require changes in mobile phase composition? (gradient of concentration).

c) Is it true that the more mobile phase channels I have the best will be the results? If so, why?

Thanks

Here's a tutorial that will answer many of your questions:
