Thinking about getting a SPME autosampler for Agilent 5890 GC FID and 5890 GC/MS, most likely to use it for headspace and water/drug product extracts. Does anyone know if they make a system where this autosampler can be shared between two instruments like static headspace sample with a transfer line (I don't know how this would be possible with SPME?) Any suggestions out there or links/papers to comparision of manufacters? Does any one use a combined static headspace/SPME autosamplers? Thanks for the help.

						gmattz,
Talk to Gerstel, talk to Supelco. I am pretty sure that Gerstel offers a SPME instrument and might be able to suggest some work around for what you want to do. It is to your advantage that the MS is on the left and the inlet is on the right.... Supelco seems to be the center of many things SPME so they will probably have some suggestions as well.
Best regards.

CTC's PAL autosampler does this. It does liquid/headspace/SPME injection, all in one autosampler. All you need to do is change the syringe fitted to the head of the autosampler, to suit the type of injection it is programmed to do next. I think that it can also be fitted to inject into two separate instruments.
Thermo Scientific's TriPlus autosampler also has this options, but you won't be able to mount one on top of a agilent instrument

Also HTA's HT280T makes liquid/headspace/SPME injection, it's an all in one autosampler
You should find confirmation on their website (http://www.hta-it.com)
