I've tried to re-start the computer, close the online and offline chemstation and restart again, go to signal and back to calibration, re-loading the method, resetting the calibration table, but still, nothing gives me the calibration table which i can input the concentration/RT~~~

Tried to call Tech. Support, and they said since I only have instrument 1 on the edit screen, i must lost a path or something, so is there anyway to solve it?? I really don't have to pay US$110 per hour for service, any advise??

what DO you have? I assume LC chemstation? What views are available to you? What menu items can you see on the Data Analysis view?

I have the GC 7890A, it's B.03.02, under the Data Analysis, Calibration, I can see the sequence, and the chromatography, that's it, no calibration table and curve.

Because no matter I use Manual Setup or Automatic Setup under new Calibration table, it gives me no response at all.

Is it just one method? It could be that the file is corrupted. Try creating a new method.

I'm an LC person rather than GC, using Chemstation B.03 and B.04 (various versions), so what I'm writing might be trash:

Do you mean that when you select "calibration, new calibration table", irrespective of whether you check automatic or manual set-up, Chemstation returns a blank, empty calibration table window with no table, or do you mean that you don't actually get anything at all, not even the blank, empty calibration table window?

Sorry to be a bit dense, I'm just having difficulties understanding exactly where the problem is.

If you are getting a calibration table window but it doesn't have any peaks in it, then (a) it's normal that you've lost your old calibration table, as the act of creating a new one destroys the old; (b) a total lack of peaks being found, when using the automatic creation of a table, might mean Chemstation has failed to integrate anything. Check the default integration parameters are actually sufficient to find peaks in your chromatograms.

Just a quick question to confirm - do you have a standard loaded before you try to create a calibration table? The newer versions do not automatically load the previous run. You must manually load it. The calibration table will take whatever is loaded and transfer the peak information.

The other issue is "Unique Folder Creation" and the multiple methods that it creates. You may have saved the cal table in one of the methods (the Sequence method), and then tried to load the Master Method, which had not been updated.

Agilent people came and told me there was a known bug in their software!!
this unknown problem will came up time to time, all he did was re-install the software~~~

couple reminders from him, never auto update the Windows software, tell your IT people to turn that damn thing off~~~

and close the software properly by the top right X, and not the bottom manual bar and right click to close~~~

That's all he shared with me so I hope no one will suffer for what I had last week~~~

Nutty software issue? Sounds like I'm not as dumb as I look, to stay with my A.xx Chemstations, Windows 2000 or Win95.....

Glad it's fixed, now we all know....for the future
