Analysis of Aqueous solution of Monomethyl Hydrazine[MMH]

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

I am going to analyze the MMH solution [40 to 50 % in aqueous media] on InertCAP [GL-Science] column for amine analysis. My question is that can I use this type of column for this material. I am using TCD detector for analysis.
Can the aqueous media affect the column performance or any another column can suitable for this type of analysis.
Some of supplier gives us GC chromatogram but they hide the column. Can this type of methyl silicon phase is suitable for MMH type analyte or we should use some other type of stationary phase. We need it's GC analysis immediately,so please help me for the same.

Best regards

Praveen

I would not recommend using a silicone column with this strong base analyte.

I would recommend a packed column, using one of several packings:

Chromosorb 103,

Hayesep C,

Carbopackâ„¢ B coated with 4% Carbowax 20M/0.8% KOH
