Hi,
We offer a full support for recalibration and repair of all our instruments. Our labs are based in the UK, so instruments do have to be returned to the UK for this service. We have flowmeters coming from all over the world on a daily basis and we have special permission from UK customs to temporarily import the instruments into the UK under IPR, which allows duty and tax free entry into the UK.
The instrument must be shipped to our door using an international courier! We recommend shipping with DHL or FEDEX. When you book the courier please Pre-Alert them that the instrument is coming to the UK under IPR as a temporary import for repair and return, our IPR details are below and can be used to allow the instrument tax and duty free entry through UK customs. Fedex and DHL are very familiar with processing our shipments and the required customs clearances. You will need to produce 5 copies of the shipping invoices, stating the flowmeter tariff code 9026102190. You must also put our IPR declaration on your shipping invoices to facilitate smooth clearance through customs and avoid paying temporary import duties into the UK. Here is the IPR declaration:
For temporary import into the UK for calibration and subsequent return to 'enter your country here'.

I think if you contact your local customs they will be able to explain how you send the flowmeter as a temporary export for repair in UK and return to India. As long as you can prove you paid duties on original import to India, hopefully this temporary export and re-import to India can be duty free?
