Have you ever known the DRYLAB?

i am reading the bookmethos validation in pharmaceutical analysis .and in the robustness testing .it refers that we could use the computer-assisted robustness studies .such as drylab ,chromsword ,and design of experiments (modde ,minitab,statgraphics )
could i use the software drylab in my paper of devlopment of hplc method?
have you ever known it ,and used it ?

It is used fairly extensively in pharmaceutical HPLC method development. You can get more information at:

By way of "full disclosure", for many years I did support and training for DryLab.

I can add an impartial opinion. I have used DryLab extensively to develop methods for pharmaceuticals and have found it to be extremely useful. The model that you create in the DryLab software for your method development also provides good robustness data for method validation.

DryLab has been described in detail in LLoyd Snyder's book "Practical HPLC Method Development." (more than >10 yrs ago). Other tools described in Chapter 10 of that book are: ICOS (HP), Diamond (ATI), PESOS, Eluex, Chromdream, HPLC-Metabolexpert, ProDigest-LC.

You may want to consider Fusion AE offered by Varian. This latest tool can help to do full-factorial design for method development/optimization/validation/reporting.

It may not be economical to buy DryLab or Fusion (or others), if you don't do development every few months.

You need to bugdet for >12K.
It is understood that you will need to buy a kit for method development. Usually, a kit may contain 5-6 columns of different phases. Yes, modern chromatography still required trial, scouting/exploring runs.

Drylab is expensive, but it saved us lots of time.
