I've only worked with Empower 2, and have just started a position in a new lab, they have Empower [Regular] on almost the instruments... My impression is that the main difference between the two is that Empower 2 has the new integreation option (Apical?) vs. the traditional. :?

1. Is that correct?
2. Are there any other signifigant differences?

Thanks a bunch!
Kind Regards,

I guess you mean Apex track.
Both of software has Apex track function. If you do not see Apex track on Empower, it is just setting. You can change the setting if you want to, and you have Administration authority.
Here is some rough Empower2 feature.
a) You can arrange report mehtod on Empower2 quick start, but not on Empower.
b) Empower2 can calculate S/N, but you have to input equation to custom field on Empower.
c) When you use Apex track on Empower 2, you will find some more integration option compared to Empower.

Best Regards,

^ not sure about part "c' above - I think integration options are the same...

However, Empower 2 also allows "nested" project folders. There are also a couple of minor differences among the bugs and their presentation in each version.
Thanks,
DR

I am not sure now, but the Valley-to-Valley and Gaussian Skim timed events were not available on Empower when using a processing method with ApexTrack integration.

Best Regards,

^ this is normal - as Apex track is a totally different algorithm, the integration events are not the same.

You get a shorter list than with traditional integration, but, as with traditional integration, you will rarely, if ever, need many of the events.
Thanks,
DR
