My mobile phase composition is:

60% Water
40% Methanol
0.1% TFA

I am planning to use a column temp of 40C for method development purpose.

Is this temperature O.K. or is it too high in regards to the low boiling Methanol that can possibly evaporate at that temp.

It should not be a problem. The mobile phase reservoir is at ambient temperature in any case; the mobile phase doesn't come up to column temperature until it gets to the preheater tubing; since that is post-pump, the system is pressurized and boiling point is a non-issue.

Thanks Tom,

That was quick. I appreciate it.
