I am working on perkin elmer GC FID with total chrom software. I need to develope a method for TPH analysis using "timed group". Can any help me?

Timed group is an "on/off" function where you assign any peak within the window to a group ID, then they're calculated as a single peak using the sum of peak areas within the window (if memory serves correctly).

Thanks for the reply. I segregated the diesal range into two groups one >C10 to <C18 and second group is >C19 to <C29. and they were assigned in the time group wind but when run was done in the final report it is said that there is no group to be identified.
I run 1000ppm diesel standard.I am getting very good chromatogram. it seems i an going some work wrong inthe method. Can you pls tell in detail how to enter the time group in detail?

Thanks

I can't (it has been several years since I used T*C now), but I suspect someone else can, or you could check the Users Group at the vendor's website. Forum for users with service plans
