Hi
Just was little curious...I would like to know which all “column manufacturing companiesâ€

Not too many...

Waters is one of the manufacturers that synthesizes its own silicas and hybrid packings.

hi
thanks for the reply...

wht about Luna (phenomenex), ACE and Grace vydac columns do any one have in-house silica??

Phenomenex is not a primary manufacturer and does not make the silica for Luna.

...thinking about it...does it matter if a company manufactures "in-house" silica or get it from some other company???

It is a big deal from the standpoint of process control and ultimately the reproducibility of a packing. Only if you understand ALL the subtleties of the ENTIRE process can you make a very reproducible packing. This has been demonstrated several times during my career, and I can support it with data.
