In extraction of cannabis from urie I used a mixture of ethyl acetate: diethyl ether (1:1). I notice in gc-ms it is alawys give a very high abundance peak of diisooctylphthalate!!

phthalates are everywhere. Any plastics in sample collection containers, tubing, or disposables associated with sample preparation? Those are potential sources close to the analysis.

Dear Che; Ftalatro de Dioctilo; is a platifier; and as Don says is in Anywhere;is very hard to eliminate as and is very sencitive too. you should try to run a several blanks and se if comes form your materials; use glasswares instead of plastic could be an option. and
