Column thermostat?

Discussions about HPLC, CE, TLC, SFC, and other "liquid phase" separation techniques.

Anyone know a US supplier for a stand-alone column thermostat (~5°C to ~80°C) that can be qualified and doesn't take up much space?

I'm using an Agilent 1100. Agilent's column thermostat compartments are ~3k - without a valve assembly! That amount of money isn't in the budget right now and a bit overkill for my needs anyway. I remember using a stand-alone thermostatted compartment at a previous employer with Shimadzu systems, but can't recall the brand (wasn't Shimadzu).

Thanks in advance,

You can probably find what you need from any of the major consumables suppliers. Here's one that I know of:

We got one for better than free a few years ago from Grace Alltech, still in its package. It was less expensive to buy their conductivity detector and a column thermostat together than the conductivity detector only. Yes, you read that correctly.
Thank you all for your feedback. I've been looking into suggestions and have more info to track down.

If only I needed a conductivity detector

Thanks,

I have big temperature issues with my ion chromatograph (Metrohm) , and I went on the hunt for a column heater/chiller. I discovered that Restek and Phenomenex have heater/chillers that work for both HPLC and ion chromatography. As a matter of fact, I am going to be trying out the Restek one for a week this summer with a loaner to make sure it will take care of the problem. Also, Sigma-Aldrich carries the Jetstream Plus Column Heater/Cooler. FYI, all three seem to be reasonably priced. :D
