I'm a fan of theoretical thinking myself, but in this case, why not just collect timed fractions from let's say 64.5 - 69 min (about 2 ml) in reasonable small windows, reanalyze them and see where the substance is collected? Afterwards programm the collector accordingly.

Most fraction collectors have a 2 or 3 way solenoid valve to pass the eluent from waste to collector. Just check when the system is in collect mode there is no eluent going to waste.
