Hi all,

One man told me his lab has an 6890GC with an HID detector (I have not seen). As I know, Agilent does not have such a detector, so how come it's possible? Anybody knows this?

Thanks

Agilent supplies these detectors as a 'special' on new instruments. It is not possible through Agilent to add one to an existing chromatograph. If you wish to add one of these detectors to an existing GC, you should contact Valco Instruments.

Oh, thank you, Gasman.

I too provide an HID that works on a 6890 chassis. It uses the standard 6890 pallet and electrometer so it will work with the normal 6890 compatible data systems. I can provide you with more information if you would like. Feel free to contact me at aicmm at flash.net.

Best regards.
