That brings up a point: These features are dependent on the hardware supporting them, and older equipment usually does not have as many of these software-driven features.

I guess we're just going to have to do as much research as possible and tack the information we find on to our XML descriptions of the instruments. I don't forsee it being a major hurdle other than getting some of the support groups to actually call me back (waters is notorious for that).
