Hello everybody,

we are going to buy a (low end) LC-MS/MS-system this year.
Has anybody heard about, seen or worked with the Varian 320-MS Triple Quadrupole?
I have been warned about Varian MS'es, but wanted to ask if there is any real evidence that they are no good.
How does this instrument compare the e.g. a Waters TQD?

Thanks for you opinions,

Hartmut

Dear Thomas; I would like to know what application you going to run in yor equipment?
This is important because for example you have to see your duty cycle when your doing screening.

Regards.

Oscar.

Dear Oscar, our applications are (mainly) pesticides. Solutions or extracts from ecotoxicity tests. Mostly aqueous solutions, but some plant, soil or animal extracts. Usually max. 5 previously known compounds to quantify - no screening.

Hartmut

Dear Thomas,

I suggest you can look at API 3200T from ABI for your pesticide residue applications with thier Cliquid software. Before that you should decide what are LLOQ & LLOD you are looking at. With Q-Trap you can be able run both qualitative & Quantitative applications in a single run.
