I wanted to give numerous amounts of praise to a company who has exceeded my expectations for providing me with ACN (and other GC materials) during this difficult time. American Bioanalytical(.com) has been tremendous and has kept my lab running for 5 weeks! Go there if you want some customer satisfaction. That was my commercial. (they said they'd gimme another case of ACN if I told my internet community!! just kidding)

No offense but you have 4 posts from the time you joined the forum and all they say is about ACN shortage (the sky is falling...) and how wonderful American Bioanalytical is... it sounds kind of biased and probably you are the only one that Fisher and VWR stopped provided with ACN (according with one of your earlier posts)... assuming you do not work for American Bioanalytical...

My lab has also purchased ACN through American Bio.
We have a standing order with Fisher Sci, but they couldn't provide the order until the middle of December. We utilize around 30 cases (16 L per case) of ACN per month, so we've had to resort to other vendors in the meantime.
I'm starting to wonder when this shortage will clear up.

Kostas Petritis,
I can understand your post, but our lab was a small purchaser through VWR, and we were one of the first ones to be shut out of the shortage mess. I only found this forum when I was struggling to come up with an answer to our demand. If and when your lab gets hit with this ACN depression, then you will be in this forum too, talking about how you were helped by ameri bio. Unless I buy the rest of their inventories!!
