LC column shipment on dry ice

Hey,

I will be sending some samples on dry ice. At the same time I wanted to send a C18 column. Can a shipment in such a low temperature damage my column?

I would not do it! Extreme temperatures are risky!

My guess is that if mobile phase inside the column is not freezing you are okay, so it will depend on your composition and freezing point of it. If it freezes most likely it will break silica gel parts, similar to glass bottle with water in a freezer will crack
