In technical lingo, it just means something is screwed up !
Examples:
Loading a corrupt method.
Loading a method created with Rev B software under Rev A.
Loading a method with wrong module parameters.
One more possible explaination. Corruption in ChemStation or the Operating System software can cause read/load problems.

Thank you for your reply.
I can foreclose the first and the second choice for one reason: I am unable to load the default method, which cannot be changed.
What does it mean to load a method with wrong module parameters ?
Thanks.
nevermind
