software for instrument control

We've been using Waters pump and autoinjector with a Shimadzu detector and data collection software for our isocratic system. Now, we need to add a gradient capability.

The Waters sales rep told us we needed a 2nd pump, reference valve, and a control module. We got them.

Long story short, I guess he overlooked the software statement because Shimadzu doesn't talk to Waters. Does anyone know of a 3rd party software that might work? If not, I guess we'll have to try to return the instruments

I'm no expert, but you could look at Chromeleon (a Dionex product), which seems to control a wide range of different equipment.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, their software doesn't work with the instruments I have. I'm calling to return the new equipment.
