Quantifier/qualifier ions transition

Dera all,
Can some one let me know the details as to how we can determine the qualifier and quantifier ions in MRM transition and the calculations related to it.
Earlier I have been using this MRM transition for bioanalytical applications. but now i want to know this aspect for a different application, say trace analysis
