symmetry factor agilent chemstation vs tailing factor usp

The EP recommends that the tailing factor should be between 0.8 and 1.5.

Is there a way to put the EP/USP tailing factor into a custom report (as the extended performance report is very long), or is there an easy conversion from chemstation’s symmetry factor to EP/USP tailing factor, so I can apply the EP limits?

I haven't used Chemstation for a while so I'm a little rusty but I believe you can just add that piece of info to your current report. Look for the report section that contains the USP factors; tailing, half heights, plate counts, etc in the report builder. If you have a software manual handy I would check there too.

Good Luck

There is not an easy conversion factor because Chemstation uses completely different approach how to calculate USP Tailing. We print in such cases Ext. report because when you are creating your own report style, there is not an easy way how to involve GLP section.
