This is a simple question.
What cable provides information on the workfile to an integrator?
Is it the analog cable or the remote cable?
Also, am having trouble establishing communication with my integrator and have cleaned contacts on the edge card, changed cables etc and would like comments from someone who has done troubleshooting in this area.
Would also like to know vendors who supply connectors for these old style edge connectors.
Thank you,
Peter Joyce

I believe it's the analog cable for the signal, and the remote synchronizes the start. Can you take and link or post a photo of the socket of the cable end that you need, or post a scan from the operating manual? We've never had a 1090 here, but we've got lots old our old cables from 3388, 1050, 3393, 3393, and 3396 integrators, etc.
Depends which 1090 and integrator you have. HP Offered several custom cables for these connections. The double sided edge card connectors are very special ($$$) and used for remote signals input/outputs and control signals. Most of the integrators use a DB-15 connector with custom pin-out to feed the integrator the start/stop signal (P/N 03396-60650). The DB-15 to edge card connector is used for general communication and also provides a start signal. *The 1090-Series II system (or an upgraded Series I with RCI Board installed) has a DB-9 remote start signal connector on the back of the 1090 which makes things easier for starting/stopping the integrator for each run (though it must be custom wired at the integrator end). The analog input signal for the integrator uses a special AMP brand plug and edge card connector (P/N 35900-60600). The 8-pin edge card connector connects to the 1090 DAD and analog input on the back of the intergrator.

Do a search on the web for a company that specializes in the HP 1090 system for help. Their are also companies advertising used HP cables for the 1090 as well (again, do a search).
How do I contact you? I am interested in your cables
