Gerstel MPS2/ CTC Analytics PAL Errors

I'm running an Agilent 5973N/6890N with a Gerstel MPS2+CIS+TDU, etc. After months of my Computer/ Instrument-controller crashing (BSOD), my profile got corrupted and I had to reconfigure Chemstation communications (tell it which IPs and ports to use). After this I began getting Gerstel MASter Errors 42 and 136, which (I think) originate from the firmware in the MPS2/PAL and indicate an "invalid keyword" or an "unexpected error detected." The errors (and, still, occasionally the BSOD) occur following a successful, trouble free injection just as the MPS2 "homes" itself following it's wash cycle.
I have a few other clues I could share. The problem has occurred with increasing frequency; it occurs randomly amongst runs but at the same point within individual runs. They have led me to believe the errors are ultimately hardware related despite the lack of any other hardware-related problems.
Anyone seen anything like this before with an MPS2 or equivalent? I have a bunch of potential follow-up strings, but am hoping (for my sake) someone else out there might have seen these same symptoms before.
