Hi,

I am new to Mass Spec. Could someone recommend some books on Mass Spectrometry, especially on Spectra Interpretation? Thanks.

McLafferty & Turecek's book:

Interpretation of Mass Spectra

is a page turner.

Thanks, matthew. :P

I would also look at "Introduction to Mass Spectrometry: Instrumentation, Applications and Strategies for Data Interpretation" by J. Throck Watson & O. David Sparkman (4th ed - ISBN 978-0-470-51634-8). Apart from being a very good all round text, it has an excellent easy to follow section on EI interpretation.

Also Understanding Mass Spectra by R. Martin Smith (ISBN 0-471-42949)
