I am working on calibrating formic acid in H2O with GC-MS. The concentration range is 0 to 100 ppm. The calibration seems to suggest a parabolic fit while I was told it is supposed to be linear.

Could somebody please comment on this?

Have you tried HPLC? We use HPLC on organic acid column with a conductivity detector.

I have to use GC-MS to analyze my sampl due to other components invovled. Has anybody tried to calibration formic acid w/ GC-MS? Please let me know if the calibration comes out to be linear.
