Any literature on Calibration Methods?

Discussions about GC and other "gas phase" separation techniques.

Dear All,

I intend to calibrate my Agilent GC 6890N for my application. The sample would be a simulated feed of ethanol-butanol-water.

Does anyone have any literature on calibration methods? or is there any online source i can refer to?

Thanks in advance,

Mitali

Hi

IUPAC

Could be a start.

American Laboratory Magazine, the website has a statistics section with a lot of sections devoted to calibration

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

I use this GC too.

My compound consist of 10 components

the calibration should be for all of your components in 4 or 5 consentration

1 - very very low
2 - very low
3 - low
4 - average
5 - high

thats all

It's not possible in classic chemistry, and I'm too old to learn modern trends. :)

Agilent has a huge range of literature, including downloadable eseminars, so I would start at their www site, and perhaps ask your local Agilent customer support person to cough up some of their training materials.

Please keep having fun,
