I would like to use an HP1090 M that my lab inherited. I know that its previous owner had it hooked up to a computer (not routed through an analog module), but I do not know what sort of A/D converter cable or computer card was used. Does anyone have a suggestion or a current set-up that is recommended? I also have an old version of ChemStation Plus (Rev. A-09), so if converter cards come in 'old-school' versus 'advanced' versions, I may be limited to the 'old-school'. Has anyone dealt with a similar problem?

Quite some years back we were in a similar situation: we acquired a HP1090 with the old HP150 computer.
What we did was get a PC, put a GPIB card in it and run the 1090 via IEEE. It worked like a charm. Not sure if Agilent is still supporting GPIB. I do not remember the software version we were running.
