Is UPLC compatible with empower1?
will you explain what is ICOPs?

ICOPs are instrument control programs.
Acquity systems were not around when Empower was introduced, so for any Waters instrument that is either uncommon, or newer than Empower, there is a set of programs that gets run on the server and on the LAC/E attached to said instruments that allows the instrument to function.

If you'r in a client/server environment involving Citrix servers, the ICOPs have to go there too. Your Empower admin. should be up on all of this.

If you're more or less alone, running a local installation ("fat client"), you will need the ICOPs on your LAC/E as well as on your computer.

The ICOPs come with the isntrument, can be downloaded from Waters etc. etc.
Thanks,
DR
