HI

we are trying to develop a GC method for quantitation of leachables but are having chromatography issues due to elution of Levobunolol Hydrochloride which is causing carryover.

does anyone know of how to prevent this buildup of Levobunolol or how we could precipitate it off before injection

thanks for you help

Hi

Seems like your post ended up in the wrong part of the forum

Well not sure if this match with your analysis of leachebles but I have extracted similiar compounds (metoprolol salts and other API HCl salts) by dissolving in water then raise the pH gently to about 10. Then extract the "base" with toluene or dichloromethane.

Cheers
