Hi,

I am doing a study on essential fatty acid screening costs and was hoping to get just a general idea of the equipment cost.

An approximate cost is all that is needed for a Gas-Liquid Chromotographer, with enough bells and whistles to perform screening of essential fatty acids of human blood spots? i.e. is this about $50k, $100-$200K, $500k, or more?

I know I could contact a seller, but they are not interested in talking to students trying to find an indicative price for study purposes.

If you do not wish to post an amount on this forum, would really appreciate if you could just let me know by sending to my email address:

Any help on this would be very much appreciated!

Thanks again and regards..

Chris

Not familiar with your application, but assuming a "plain" dual channel GC with nothing novel (syringe injection, TCD or FID detection), you're around 40k. You could low-ball it with a cheaper single channel GC and maybe get under 25 or 30. Been awhile since I looked at exact numbers.
