I am analyzing essential oil. Sometimes there are peaks of isomers (o, m, p), but the orders are not defined.
In general, is there any order of elution among them?

Thanks

Order will depend on the stationary phase in the column. I typically have a retention time or retention index table handy when I do this kind of work.

thohry,
Which essential oil components do you refer to?
And in which essential oils do they occur?
Thanks
WK

Hi WK

That is the essential oils of new trees, probably they have no official name yet (or I do not know). I will post the compounds' names later, now I do not have in hand.

Great, now I know they can analyze essential oil by HPLC for the first time.
