Pcbs with N2 mobil phase

I´m trying to analyze PCB´s in soils. My problem is the background and impurity for identify the PCB 28 and 52. I can have better resolution with N2 although my analysis time will be long?
My method is:
N2 mobil phase with 5 psi Make up 40 ml/min
splitless 1.5 min
0 min 50ºC
3 min 20ºC/min 180ºC
2,5ºC/min 280ºC
10 min 280ºC
Column is 5VF-ms factor 4______ 30 meters 0.32 mm

And now 2 questions more:
- What difference is there for use Helio or N2, the separation is similar? I don´t known to compare with others publications because every people work with Helio.
- The Make-up, if I low or High the flow what make in my chromatogram?
