Mouthwash - extraction

My current method SPE c18 and OASIS
a solvent is Pentane ether. menthol recovery is much higher than actual amount. I may have to replace the solvent,. any suggestion?

We always assayed menthol by capillary GC. Sometimes we made trimethylsilyl derivatives.

We never tried to extract menthol with a non-miscible solvent.
