Atenolol Tablet Related substances test

We have adopted the official BP Monograph method for the Related substances of Atenolol Tablets and have found that the principle peak i.e. Atenolol peak which is 1000ppm splits up to the half height of the peak. This is observed even using a fresh column.
Please comment if anyone has experienced the same.
