I am identifying plasma fatty acids with a CP sil 88 col and my plasma samples have tyloxapol (http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/sea ... IGMA/T0307). I want to know if it will interfere in the analysis or interact with the stationary phase of the column. Thanks!!!

It has a pretty high molecular weight, and is likely to have little volatility. I would not expect it to interfere with fatty acid analysis (as the methyl esters). It will probably just deposit in the inlet liner. Frequent liner changes will probably be necessary.

How much will be present?
