In my lab I have PE Clarus 500 GC connected with TurboMatrix 40 HS. I am using the TotalChrom CDS but only to control the GC system not the HS.

All the HS parameters I set directly on the HS sampler (manually). When an injection from the HS occurs, HS sends a signal to GC to start the run. Everything that I can set and control with the TotalChrom software is related to the Clarus 500 GC. That's why I don't understand your problem with the HS (that is controlled by TotalChrom?)

What model of HS and GC do you use? What parameters you want to set up on your HS sampler or GC? Which part of the TotalChrom makes you troubles (method set-up, processing chromatograms, publishing the reports, etc)?

I mostly do residual solvent analyses in pharmaceutical preparations. Also I have done ethanol analyses in different matrices.

I have the same configuration as you, clarus 500 & turbo matrix 40 HS.
As I said before my problem is with the totalchrom not the headspace nor the GC.
I need help in setup method and calibrating it.
I want to do ethanol analysis in both blood and beverages.
