Hello All, I has been looking informatrion about MEPS in the SGE web; it seems very interesting, but there is not so much applications there; so I would like to know if some one has worked with this Sample Treatment Techniq? I am Specialy interested in Pesticides application form vegetables and enviromental sample.

Thanks in advance.

PD. I am posting this but this is a Sample Treatment Techninc useful for GC and Lc; I know this is chromatography forum but maybe it would be nice to have a sample treatment window; or where is more convenient to post it?

Hello OscarBAL,

I have tried the MEPS-technique and it works. If C18-SPE works, MIPS -C18 also works (the same phase), but you can't get high concentration factors.
If analyzing water, you can easily get a 1:100 or 1:1000 concentration by drawing 100-1000 mL of water through a SPE cartridge. This is not possible with MEPS.
For vegetables, MEPS will probably not be useful, since you usually extract them with an organic solvent. For an easy method for pesticides in vegetables you should google for "Quechers".
