equipment donations

Greetings. I am working to procure used equipment on behalf of Buffalo State College's highly regarded Art Conservation Department. Some of the items on the department's "wish list" include liquid and gas chromatographs, and so I thought that I would reach out to you for some guidance.
What would be the best way to find out if companies are seeking to donate their equipment?  Do I need to go directly to the individual company, or is there perhaps an “equipment exchangeâ€
