Hello all,

I would like to Export tables and Chromatograms into Excel to report to our field staff. It is a Waters instrument, running Empower 2. I have full access to software and hardware. We are not a regulated lab.

I have created an Export Method, but it creates delimited text file (like Microsoft notepad). This then must be “importedâ€

Maybe you should first take a look at:

1 If you setup things right, you can directly open in Excel instead of import. Although not recommended

2 What do you mean with graphs not pictures? Please clarify

3 If you want to export many files, an export method is the way to go.

Maybe you can use VBA macro's to do the "import" in excel or Access?

You will have to investigate the raw data tab on the export method in order to get data suitable for graphing. Depending on the sampling rate, you may find that excel sheet sizes are not up to the task. Multiple columns may need to be sorted out, or you could generate your graphs by opening up the raw files in another program that has longer sheets (Origin, for example).
