Dear Chromatographers,

Short question:
- What is the effect of oxidators (peroxides) to LC column?

they can retain in the column head and/or free silanols of RP phase and result to baseline humps/interference when flushed out

Is it safe for the column packing? :?

I think they are safe.
First, peroxides start to decomposed significantly at elevated temperature usually @ 70C and higher. Second, common RP column has nothing to interact with free radicals. If you use organic modifier the mobile phase is equally good substrate for free radicals and there is much more of it.
