HPLC Method for MEHQ

I am interested in a method for determining the concentration of MEHQ in acrylate monomers. Any suggestions?? Thanks, LC101

Yes, nothing specific has come up except books and or articles for $$.

This should be quite easy to do, depending on which acrylates you're looking at. We routinely do this for HQ in cyanoacrylates but have also (very ocasionally) looked for MeHQ in various monomers, I think it needs quite a long gradient but then our formulations do include the full range of water solubilities from methacrylic acid to LMA.

Ok here are the rough details.
Column: 7.5cm C18 Ascentis express.
Temp: 60C
Inj. Volume: 2.5ul
MPhase A: 1% acetic acid
MPhase B: 100% ACN
Time %B
0 25
0.2 25
1.0 95
1.3 95
1.75 25
2.0 25
MeHQ comes out at about 1.5minutes which is about the same place as EHA, EHMA and LMA.
Note this uses a fast column but transfers easily to conventional LC.
